What to do if the Ulvac LR Water Pump power cannot be applied?
    • R
      Rebecca PhillipsAug 19, 2025
First, ensure that the power is correctly supplied to the pump. If the power supply is not the issue, check the wiring connections of the connector, and correct them if they are incorrect. Finally, inspect the pump for any leaks. If a leak is found, disassemble and repair the pump.

Why is my Ulvac LR making an unusual sound?
    • W
      William SimsAug 21, 2025
An unusual sound from the Ulvac Water Pump can be caused by several factors. The panel might be vibrating. The sound may be high due to resonance in the piping when gas is being fed; try using a pipe with a thicker wall to suppress the sound. Check the exhaust piping, or there may be a leakage at the inlet port, so check the piping and repair it, if needed, or there may be a rise in backing pressure.

What to do if Ulvac LR controller can not activates the Pump?
    • J
      jsmithAug 23, 2025
If the controller cannot activate the Ulvac Water Pump, make sure that LOCAL mode is selected by pressing the REMOTE/LOCAL switch on the controller. Also, ensure that the STOP SWITCH is turned off. Check if EMERGENCY STOP is displayed, and if so, ensure the emergency stop pin of the remote operation connector is shorted. Finally, verify that INTERLOCK is not displayed; if it is, the external interlock pin of the remote operation connector is not shorted.

What to do if my Ulvac LR shows no indication on display?
    • A
      Amber ThomasAug 26, 2025
If there is no indication on the display of your Ulvac Water Pump, verify that the breaker is turned on. If it is on and there's still no display, consider replacing the instrumentation.

What to do if I see WATER FLOW LOW ALARM on my Ulvac Water Pump?
    • A
      andersonamandaAug 27, 2025
If you see a 'WATER FLOW LOW ALARM' on your Ulvac Water Pump, try opening the flow rate-regulating valve. Also, check if there is insufficient difference pressure at the inlet/outlet ports and increase the supply pressure from the host equipment. Make sure there is sufficient gas supply from host equipment.

What to do if I see DRP/MBP PUMP TEMP HIGH ALARM on my Ulvac LR Water Pump?
    • M
      Madison BradleyAug 29, 2025
If you see a 'DRP/MBP PUMP TEMP HIGH ALARM' on your Ulvac Water Pump, lower the environment temperature. Also, check for insufficient cooling water and open the flow rate-regulating valve. If you have a booster pump unit of HR series, ensure the inlet pressure is operating within the range from the ultimate pressure to 200Pa. Clean and wash the exhaust pipe if there is an increase in backing pressure.

What to do if the pressure does not lower in Ulvac Water Pump?
    • J
      jennifer65Sep 1, 2025
If the pressure does not lower in your Ulvac Water Pump, check the piping at the upstream of the PUMP for any clogs in the intake port wire netting. Ensure that the pump operating temperature is static, and if not, measure again one hour later. The ultimate pressure in the Specifications is the value directly above the pump.

What to do if I see N PURGE 2 GAS LOW ALARM on my Ulvac LR?
    • T
      Timothy PalmerSep 3, 2025
If you see an 'N PURGE 2 GAS LOW ALARM' on your Ulvac Water Pump, open the flow rate-regulating valve. Increase the supply pressure from the host equipment if there is insufficient difference pressure at the inlet/outlet ports. Ensure there is a sufficient supply of gas.

What does it mean when my Ulvac LR displays SYSTEM ERROR?
    • J
      Jamie WagnerSep 5, 2025
If your Ulvac Water Pump displays a 'SYSTEM ERROR', turn off the power and turn it on again. This may resolve the issue if the PC program is out of control or the control power output is low.

What to do if the temperature does not increase in Ulvac LR (only HR series)?
    • J
      Jennifer SmithSep 7, 2025
If the temperature does not increase in your Ulvac Water Pump (HR series only), operate it for one hour. If the temperature still doesn't increase after a temperature error, turn on the bimetal switch, as it may have been turned off. In case of exhaust pipe issues, operate for one hour, and if the temperature remains low, exchange the mantle heater because the temperature fuse has been cut when the temperature does not increase after of the temperature error.
