MELTING MODE (MELTING) (See fig. x)
1) Go to MELTING item field in View Menu
2) Set the slab surface temperature to be maintained while the
control is in melting mode
DIP SWITCH: Snow Melting
RANGE: 32 to 95°F (0 to 35°C)
DEFAULT: 36°F (2°C)
IDLING MODE (IDLING) (See fig. y)
Idle feature decreases melting start up time maintaining slab
at an “Idling” temperature.
1) Go to IDLING item field in View Menu
2) Set the slab surface temperature that you wish to maintain
while control is in idling mode
DIP SWITCH: Snow Melting
RANGE: OFF, 20 to 95°F (OFF, -7 to 35°C)
DEFAULT: OFF
RUNNING TIME (RUN TIME) (See fig. z)
The length of time the snow melting system operates once the
slab has reached melting temperature.
1) Go to RUN TIME item field in Adjust Menu
2) Set the time in which slab is to be operated at Melting
temperature during a melting demand
RANGE: 0:30 to 17:00 hr, INF (Infinite)
DEFAULT: 4:00 hr
SLAB PROTECTION (∆T MAX) (See fig. aa)
1) Go to ∆T MAX item field in Adjust Menu
2) Set ∆T MAX (delta T) — the temperature difference between
slab supply and slab return temperature
NOTE: The rate at which heat is applied to slab
can be controlled and thermal stresses in slab can
be minimized by limiting this temperature difference.
DIP SWITCH: Snow Melting
RANGE: 10 to 70°F, OFF (6 to 39°C, OFF)
DEFAULT: 30°F (17°C)
