BOILER DEMAND PUMP (P7) OPERATION
The boiler demand pump (Boil Dem Pmp P7) contact
(terminals 9 and 10) closes if there is a boiler demand and the
control is not in WWSD
After boiler demand is removed, the boiler system pump
runs an additional 20 seconds
NOTE: Boiler demand can be an external demand
or a boiler zone control as described in section B2.
EXTERNAL BOILER DEMAND
External boiler demand is generated by applying a voltage
between 24 and 240 VAC across Boil Dem (3) and Com Dem
(4) terminals.
• Once voltage is applied, Boiler Demand pointer is displayed
in the LCD
If control is not in WWSD, it closes the Boil P3 contact, which
starts the primary pump and closes the Boil Dem Pmp P7
contact, which starts the boiler system pump
The control turns on the primary pump and boiler system
pump segments in the LCD
The control calculates a Boil TRG supply temperature, then
fires the boiler (if required) to reach and/or maintain target
supply temperature
BOILER ZONE CONTROL
A tekmar zone control can be used to control the temperature
in the boiler zones connected to the boiler demand pump (P7).
Connects to SYSTEMpro 311 using Boil ZoIn terminal and
Com terminal (24 and 25)
• Provides its own internal boiler demand to SYSTEMpro 311
NOTE: In this case, there is no need
to provide external boiler demand.
Can adjust the Boil TRG temperature (if required) to provide
improved building occupant comfort and system performance
