Rear-Facing Installation – Safety Check
Tightness Indicator window is GREEN.
Occasionally check Child Restraint for tightness in the belt path and lift the fabric panel to ensure Tightness Indicator
remains GREEN. It is possible to achieve a tight installation even if the indicator is not fully green. Always check belt path for
no more than 1" (2.5 cm) movement.
Check at the Belt Path to ensure there is not more than 1" (2.5 cm) of movement side to side or
front to back. If there is more than 1" (2.5 cm) of movement, repeat installation steps.
For lap belt only and lap/shoulder belt installation, make sure the belt is routed through the lock-off
and fully secured under the lock-off door when closed.
ALWAYS check the Recline Position Indicator. The bubble should be between the
correct BLUE area for REAR-FACING INSTALLATION.
