FOREWORD
Service to AC drive owners is a top priority of the Producer and has always
included to the continuing development and introduction of new and improved
services.
In the line with this purpose Producer has implemented this Service Manual
for authorised Service Centres and service personnel.
This manual covers the variable speed drives (VSD) in product family CX and
CXL up to mechanical size M8 or M10:
- CX2/CXL2 -series, 230 Vac, …55 kW / M8
- CX4/CXL4 -series, 380…440 Vac, …400 kW / M10
- CX5/CXL5 -series, 440…500 Vac, …400 kW / M10
- CX6 -series, 525…690 Vac, …315 kW / M10
The manual includes specifications, procedures and trouble shooting
techniques and solving techniques as well as recommendations for tools,
devices and equipment has been proven to be practical. Preventive
maintenance for trouble free operation has been brought up in items, where
manufacturer recommends doing such care taking. This manual has been
prepared to service technician with supposition that basic skills in electricity,
electronics and power electronics are as a background skills reinforced with
factory provided service training. The goal has been clarity and completeness,
with step-by step procedures and accurate technical data.
The service location has to have a set of metric wrenches and sockets and
metric hex wrenches, since these hand tools are needed for most of the work
to disassemble and assemble constructions. Many procedures will also
require a torque wrench to ensure correct tightening torque in accordance
with specifications. In all cases, when the text refers to special tools that are
recommended or required to accomplish repairs and tests,

recommends to purchase described tools. A through review of each
procedure and section in advance, if special tools, devices or test jigs are
recommended to speed up trouble shooting.
Spare parts needed for service to units are listed on the spare parts lists
attached to this manual.
