Mode Switching Commands
OPEN — Entering Configuration Mode
1. Switch the sensor power supply on. The following information is
displayed:
wmt700 v.<version number>
Wait for 4 seconds. Then use the following command to enter
configuration mode:
$0OPEN
2. After a successful OPEN command, the following symbol is
displayed:

CLOSE — Exiting Configuration Mode
To switch WMT700 from the configuration mode to the measurement
mode, use the CLOSE command.

Parameters Handling Commands
S — Set Parameter
This command defines new data messages and changes values of the
WMT700 parameters. For parameter names and the allowed and default
values, see Table 18 on page 82.
You can also use the S command to configure data messages. For
instructions, see section Configuring Data Messages on page 83.
If you try to set an invalid value for a parameter or an invalid item for a
data message, the response depends on the messages parameter. If
messages have been enabled, WMT700 responds with an error message.
If the messages have been disabled, WMT700 does not send any error
messages. You can also fetch the most recent error data in configuration
