10.2. Non-conrmable Errors
In case a non-conrmable error message appears on the
screen, a serious error has occurred and the entire system
has to be shut down. A non-conrmable error message re-
places the pattern preview and requests the user to press
the OK button that shuts down the program. While the non-
conrmable error message is displayed, all other buttons
are inactive and the laser is disabled.
10.3. Laser Heatsink Overtemperature
In case the heatsink is overheated the program disables
the laser and advises the user to wait while the tempera-
ture is being decreased. This may take a few minutes.
When the heatsink is cooled down the message disap-
pears.
10.4. Warnings caused by the RTC4 card
The RTC4 card that controls the scanners in the revolver
may also produce error messages. In this case the pro-
gram operates similarly to the case of a non-conrmable
error: the laser is disabled, the buttons of the GUI are in-
activated and the user is requested to press the OK button
that shuts down the program.
10.5. Warnings caused by Spot Recognition
There are two possible error messages caused by an error
in the spot recognition:
The system may detect more than one spot. This may be
caused by problems in the electronics of the spot recogni-
tions system. In such case the program declares that multi-
ple spots are recognized and the service should be contac-
ted.
