10.1 Filters
NOTICE
Risk of improper filter installation. Can cause filter collapse and airflow reduction.
Pleat direction is non-standard. Use only short-pleat filters (see Figure 10.2 on the facing page).
Long-pleat filters are subject to collapse at high airflows.
To maximize the performance and reliability of the equipment, use only Vertiv filters. Contact your Vertiv
representative to order replacement filters.
Verify that filters are installed and positioned so the air-flow direction marked on the filter is the same
direction as unit air flow.

10.1.1 Filter-replacement for Downflow Units
1. Disconnect power from the unit.
2. Open the front access panel, locate the filter above the electric panel, and slide the filter out
the front of the unit.
3. Replace with new filter—install the filter in the proper direction of the airflow.
4. Test the operation of the filter clog switch.
The unit panels must be in place and closed to find this point.
