- Use the nut to move the base of the tool until you
can see end of the oil seal driving stroke
- Remove all of the tool components following the procedure in reverse order
CAUTION
FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THIS ASSEMBLY PROCEDURE CAN SERIOUSLY DAMAGE THE
ENGINE DUE TO THE WRONG TENSIONING OF THE OIL PUMP CONTROL CHAIN.
Assemble a new oil seal on the flywheel side using
the specific tool as shown in the photograph
N.B.
FAILURE TO USE THE SPECIFIC TOOL CAN RESULT IN
AN INCORRECT DEPTH POSITION AND AS A CONSE-
QUENCE IN INADEQUATE OIL SEALING.
Specific tooling
020425Y Punch for flywheel-side oil seal
Oil pump
Removal
- Remove the cover of the pump control pulley us-
ing the two retainers, as shown in the figure.
- Block the rotation of the oil pump control pulley
using a screwdriver inserted through one of its two
holes.
