Spring catch for hilly
ground
The spring catch keeps the machine in position in relation to the
tractor. If the machine meets an obstacle, release the catch, and the
machine will swing behind. After the obstacle has been passed, swing
the machine back and the catch will automatically lock again.
The spring catch is factory fitted as shown.
NB
The spring catch must be tightened to a maximum of 62 mm (2
7
/16ā),
otherwise the catch may lock.
On hilly ground, it is possible that the spring lock may be tightened
further during use.

It is recommended that the screw be tightened by one turn and then
the setting checked.
Stop for knives
The machine's cutting discs are fitted with a stop that prevents the
knives locking.
