V-belt
Safety concerning maintenance work on the transmission
When working on the transmission the tractor must be stopped and
secured.
This prevents the machine from suddenly starting to rotate.
If the tractor and the PTO shaft have not been connected in
accordance the instructions, serious accidents causing damage to
limbs can occur.
When working on the transmission:
• The tractor engine must be stopped.
• The ignition key must be removed.
• The PTO shaft must be disconnected.
• The tractor hydraulic system must be disconnected.
• The hand brake must be activated.
As required
The V belt transmission must be regularly checked.
Once the V-belt transmission starts having problems transmitting
power to the cutterbar, it must be changed.

The V-belts are replaced in the following way:
> Use a suitable tool to remove the guard.
> Loosen the counter nut.
> Loosen the counter nut.
