Entering the PIN
Further information can be found
in chapter "Terminology" in the Ap-
pendix.
When carrying out first-time commis-
sioning of the Vitocom 100 with a new
SIM card the PIN of the SIM card must
entered.
The PIN must be entered when the fol-
lowing is indicated:
The field strength indicator "2" and the
indicator for the mobile network connec-
tion status "3" flash yellow; the operating
status indicator "4" flashes red.
Indication during PIN entry

The PIN is now saved. Illuminates Illuminates Illuminates Illuminates
1. Press confirmation button "T2" for at
least 5 s.
2. Perform the following steps for
each PIN digit:
Set the PIN rotary selector "S1" to
the corresponding digit of the PIN.
Briefly press confirmation button
"T2" once.
If during the PIN entry process nothing
is entered for approx. 30 s, then PIN
entry is terminated.
The PIN is saved in the Vitocom 100.
If the same SIM card is removed and
reinserted the PIN does not need to be
re-entered.
The PIN is erased if the Vitocom 100
is reset to its delivered condition (see
page 23).
