Problem Solution
Does not display any
message on the front panel.
9 Check the main power cable and check that it is
plugged into a suitable power outlet.
9 Check the STB main power switch ‘ON’ at the rear
of the STB.
No Picture
9 See ‘Does not display any message on the front
panel’ above.
9 To match the STB system with your TV system
(PAL/NTSC), press V.Format button until a picture is
displayed.
9 Check the video output port is firmly connected to
the TV or VCR.
9 If you are using the RF output, check that the RF
lead is connected firmly to the STB and TV/VCR.
9 Check that you have selected the Video Input on
your TV.
9 Press the STB button on the remote to assure you are
controlling the STB and no other device with the remote.
9 Check the brightness level of the TV.
9 Check the resolution that your TV supports, and set
the proper resolution with the remote Resolution button to
obtain a picture.
Poor picture quality
9 See ‘No Picture’ above.
9 Check the signal level, if this is low then tries
adjusting the alignment of your dish.
No Sound
9 See ‘No Picture’ above.
9 Check the volume level of the TV and STB.
9 Check the Mute status of the TV and STB.
Remote Control does not
operate
9 Point remote control directly towards the STB.
9 Check and replace batteries.
No or Bad Signal
9 Check the LNB ; Replace the LNB if necessary.
9 Check the cable from the LNB.
9 Check the position of the dish; realign dish if
necessary.
9 If you are using a DiSEqC 1.0 switch, check that you
have connected and programmed the LNBs to the correct
connections on the switch.
9 Check the ‘Signal Level’ and the ‘Signal Quality’.
