Bringing Out of Storage
The following should be carried out on each
propulsion unit with the boat out of the water:
Paint the hull.
Check the
sacrificial anode on the propulsion unit If
there is less than 2/3 of the anode left, it must be
replaced. Clean just before the boat is launched.
IMPORTANT!
Use emery paper. Do not use a wire brush or other
steel tools when cleaning, as these may damage the
galvanic protection.
Check the oil level in the propulsion unit. Top up if
necessary.
Install the propellers.
The following should be carried out on each engine
with the boat either in or out of the water:
Check the oil level in the engine. Top up if neces-
sary. If there is preservation oil in the system drain
and fill with new oil and change the oil filter.
Drain the antifreeze from the seawater system.
Install the impeller in the seawater pump. Replace if
the old one looks worn.
Close/tighten the drain cocks/plugs.
Check the tension and condition of the drive belts.
Check the condition of rubber hoses and tighten the
hose clamps.
Check the engine coolant level. Top up if necessary.
Connect the fully charged batteries.
Check the sacrificial anodes on engine and
transom. If there is less than 2/3 of an anode left, it
must be replaced. Clean just before the boat is
launched.

The following should be carried out with the boat
in the water:
Check for leaks.
Start all the engines. Check that there are no fuel,
engine coolant or exhaust gas leaks and that all
control functions are operating.
