Special note when using prefabricated TEBS support modules for installation
in the vehicle:
By optimising production processes at trailer manufacturers, many prefabricated
TEBS support modules are installed in the trailer. The TEBS E Modulators as well
as many different valves are fastened to these cross-member supports. These
support modules are often painted so that when installing in the vehicles, the elec-
trical contact between the vehicle frame and the support module has to be properly
connected again.
Ensuring the electrical contact between the support module and the vehicle frame:
– Fasten the support module with electrically conductive bolted fasteners using
self-tapping screws with a conducting surface to the vehicle frame.
The resistance of the support module and the frame must be < 10 Ohm.
