10 Operation
10.1 Warning messages
Notes on warning messages can be found in the respective function description
(see chapter 6 ‘GIO functions’, page 58)
and chapter ‘Warnings and System Mes-
sages’ (see chapter 5.8.1 ‘Warnings and system messages’, page 35).
10.2 Operation with Trailer Remote Control
Trailer Remote Control only permits functions that have been preset in the TEBS E
Modulator (version TEBS E2 or higher) of the trailer via the TEBS E Diagnostic
Software (see section ‘Configuration’).

Trailer Remote Control Legend
1 Warning display for brake lining: Symbol is continuously illuminated
with low brake lining if the lining wear sensing is installed in the
trailer.
2 Warning display for tire pressure: Symbol is continuously illumi-
nated if the tire pressure is low when IVTM is installed in the trailer.
3 LED for the immobilizer: Symbol flashes (1 Hz) if the vehicle is
immobilized.
4 Trailer symbol
5 LEDs for reverse gear: Symbols are illuminated if reverse gear is
engaged.
6 LED rows for TrailerGUARD: The 3 LED rows indicate whether and
where an object is behind the vehicle if the TailGUARD system is
active.
7 Button press confirmation
8 Configurable buttons for activating/deactivating functions: The 6
function buttons can be allocated with the functions see chapter 6
‘GIO functions’, page 58.
9 Changeable symbols depending on button programming
10 Activation confirmation for the function, with green illumination of
the upper part of the ring
