5. Slide open the instrument's source control panel door.
6. Connect the impactor pin high-voltage cable to the impactor pin high-voltage cable socket
on the mass spectrometer.

7. Connect the probe adjuster cable (yellow) to the probe adjuster cable socket (yellow) on
the mass spectrometer.
8. Screw the probe assembly's PEEK fitting into the appropriate fluidics port according to your
instrument until it is finger tight.
9. Close source interface door, ensuring that it locks into place.
Result: The source pressure test initiates.
Notice: To avoid damaging the seals within the probe adjuster, do not adjust the
probe position during the source pressure test. The pressure test runs each time
you close the source door and takes approximately 30 seconds to complete.
