6.4 Tank Filter
If the water hardness is more than 5°f, the use of a
BRITA lter (supplied) should be installed in the tank. Not
only does this lter reduce limescale build-up, but it also
eliminates any impurities and other substances such as
chlorine in the water.
Replace the lter of the tank according to the manu-
facturer’s instructions.
6.5 Electrical connection
• Make sure that the information on the data plate
of the machine corresponds to the voltage of the
electrical mains;
• plug the machine into the electrical mains
.
6.6 Machine start-up
Open the water mains tap.
Turn the machine on using the main switch of the
machine
(11).
Before using the machine, wait for a short time (about
10 min.) until the gauge
(10) indicates the correct work-
ing pressure (1-1,2 bar).
LED level (12) warnings
Flashes The heating unit is being lled with water
Steady light Water lling OK
When the timeout device cuts in due to a block when lling the
heating unit with water, all the LEDs on all the push-button panels
will ash.
During the machine’s heating-up phase (roughly 20 minutes), the
negative pressure valve will release steam for a few seconds until
the valve closes.
6.7 Turning o the machine
Turn o the machine via the machine’s main switch.
