2. Description
2.1 Intended use
ACCUVAC Basic is a mobile, portable, electrically
operated medical aspirator for temporary use with
adults, children and infants:
• aspirating accumulations of blood, secretions
and food from the oral cavity, the nose and
throat region and the bronchial system;
• deflating vacuum matresses and inflatable
splints.
In expert hands, the ACCUVAC Basic can eliminate
obstructions in the airways and so prevent the risk of
respiratory failure. It can be used in buildings, in the
open air and during transport.
ACCUVAC Basic must
not be used:
• in medical rooms where potential equalization is
necessary (e.g. heart surgery);
• in explosion-risk areas.
• for drainage in low-vacuum conditions (e.g.
drainage of wounds or the thorax).
