Service Tools
Service Tools are diagnostic, logging, and analysis tools, used primarily by a Xerox representative that
services your printer. If you are troubleshooting a problem with a Xerox representative on the phone, you
may be asked to use the Service Tools.
Using Service Tools
1. At the control panel, touch Printer.
2. Touch the Tools tab, then touch Setup.
3. Touch Service Tools.
4. Touch an option:
Fault History lists recent errors that occurred on the printer.
Reset Faults clears Fault History records.
Network Log allows you to download a record of network activity and diagnostic information.
Service Diagnostics and Panel Diagnostics are diagnostic tools used by Xerox representatives.
Reset HFSI Counters allows you to reset the life counter for a customer replaceable part and
continue printing. Reset the counter after the part is replaced.
Reset NVRAM allows you to reset the printer to a default state. Only reset the NVRAM if a
Xerox representative instructs you to.
Metered Supplies is a troubleshooting tool, used only by Xerox representatives.
