Outboard Rigging Guide - 2001
REMOTE CONTROL CABLES
Yamaha remote control cables are available in
lengths from 6 feet to 36 feet. The cables utilize
10-32 threaded ends. Measure from the location
of the remote control box to the outboard motor
along an unobstructed path that will allow the
cables to be routed as straight as possible. Avoid
sharp bends, and be sure to allow for an addition-
al loop of approximately three feet, if necessary.
Additional Parts Required
NOTE: A switch panel is required for manual models if
used on a 9.9 to 25hp electric model.
Cable Measuring
Use the following examples as a guide for mea-
surement. Obviously, different boats will required
different routing and therefore different lengths.
