8. Remove the rubber steering grip. Remove the
screw in the end of the handle, and along with
the plastic and steel washers, the compression
spring. Also, remove the steering grip friction
piece and the steering grip.
NOTE: To remove the steering grip, turn it to the
left and pull it out of the steering handle.
9. Remove the two screws holding the two
halves of the steering handle together.
10. Remove the bolt, washer, shift arm, wave
washer, cotter pin, washer, and the detent
roller as shown. Disconnect the shift cable,
throttle cable, and stop switch.
Installation
1. Install the new stop switch in the steering
handle and tighten the nut.
Tightening Torque:
0.4m-kg (2.9 ft-lbs)
