NOTE:
The emergency manual shift lever 2 must be
moved in the direction opposite to the remote
control lever. Moving the emergency manual
shift lever 2 in the same direction as the remote
control lever causes the buzzer to sound.
Operating procedure at shift disengagement
failure
NOTE:
The engine is running and the outboard is in
forward or reverse.
1) Move the emergency lever 1 fully as indi-
cated by an arrow.
2.) Move the emergency manual shift lever 2
to neutral. The outboard should shift into
neutral.
3) The emergency lever 1 fully against the
arrow.
4) When shifting forward or reverse again,
follow the steps in the operating procedure
at shift engagement failure.
