      If the Auto Tuning function does not work on your Yamaha Receiver, the AM loop antenna may be connected improperly. Make sure the AM loop antenna is connected properly. Also, the radio station you selected may be far away from your area or radio wave reception is weak in your area. Try Manual Tuning to increase the signal quality.

      If your Yamaha Receiver turns on but immediately shuts off, it could be due to a few reasons. First, ensure the power cable is firmly plugged into the outlet. Second, check the speaker cables to make sure they are properly connected and not shorted. Lastly, if the receiver experienced a strong electrical shock, set it to Standby mode, disconnect the power cable for 30 seconds, then reconnect and turn it on.

      If the clock setting on your Yamaha Receiver has been cleared, it's likely the receiver lost power for more than a week. Make sure the power cable is plugged into the outlet firmly, then set the clock again.

      The disc may not be set in the disc tray properly, so set the disc in the disc tray properly. The disc may be dirty, so wipe the disc clean. The disc loaded into the DVD receiver may be not compatible, so make sure you use a disc supported by the DVD receiver. When moved the DVD receiver from a cold place to warm one, condensation may be form on the disc reading lens, so wait for one to two hours, then try again.
