Hardware component instructions of the SIP-T42G IP phone are:
Shows information about calls, messages, soft keys,
time, date and other relevant data:
• Call information—caller ID, call duration
• Icons (for example, )

Indicates phone power and some feature statuses.
• Receives an incoming call—Fast flashing
• Receives a voice mail—Slow flashing
• Enable you to select a phone line
• Call a favorite contact quickly
• Assign Boss-Admin feature
• Assign multicast paging feature
Toggles and indicates mute feature.
Toggles and indicates the headset mode.
Redials a previously dialed number.
Toggles and indicates the hands-free speakerphone
mode.
Adjusts the volume of the handset, headset,
speakerphone, and ringer.
Provides the digits, letters, and special characters in
context-sensitive applications.
Scroll through the displayed information.
Confirms actions or answers incoming calls.
Cancels actions or rejects incoming calls.
Label automatically to identity their context-sensitive
features.
Provides hands-free (speakerphone) audio output.
Secures the handset in the handset cradle when the IP
