6 Configuration Using the Web Browser
Establishing a Configuration Environment
Before accessing the Web configuration page, proceed as follows to establish a configuration environment and obtain
VP-2009(P) Elite 's IP address.
Prepare a PC that meets the following requirements:
Installs Ethernet adapters and supports TCP/IP.
Runs the Window 98 or later operating system.
Installs a Web browser such as Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or later, Firefox, or Google
Chrome.
Supports the resolution 800 x 600 or higher.
Press the <OK> key in the standby state to obtain the IP address.
Connect VP-2009(P) Elite and the PC to the same network where they can communicate with each other.
You can connect VP-2009(P) Elite and the PC to a Hub or a switch. If there is no Hub or
switch, connect the PC to the PC port on VP-2009(P) Elite.
Accessing the Web Configuration Page
To access the Web configuration page, proceed as follows:
Step 1
Start the Web browser on the PC.
Step 2
Enter the VP-2009(P) Elite's IP address in the address box, and press Enter.
Step 3
Enter the user name and password (both
admin
by default) and click
OK
, as shown in Figure 6-1.

Tab pages on the Web configuration page are described as follows:
Status: displays information about VP-2009(P) Elite's network status and firmware hardware versions.
