Parameter Description
IP Address or Host Name Destination IP address or host name.
Egress Data direction. If you want to detect the connection with an external
address, select a WAN connection.
4. Click Diagnosis to diagnose the connection. The system pings the specified ad-
dress. The system performs ping operations for four times by default, and the opera-
tion results are displayed in the bottom box.
Trace Route Diagnosis
1. Click to open Trace Route Diagnosis page, see Figure 7-15.

2. Set the parameters. For the description of the parameters, refer to Table 7-9.

Name
Destination IP address or host name for the Trace Route operation.
Egress To detect the connection with an external address, select a WAN connection.
Maximum Hops Maximum number of hops that the Trace Route packets require for arriving at
the destination, default: 30.
