FaultAnalysis
1.TheportPVIDisincorrect.
2.Theportsaredisabled.
3.TheVLANboundtotheportsisdisabled.
4.WhentheportswereaddedintheVLAN,tagwasselected.
5.IPaddressesofthedeviceswerenotsetornotinthesamenetworksegment.
Solution
1.SettheportPVIDtobethesameastheVLANIDtowhichtheportsbelong.
2.Enablealltheportsused.
3.EnabletheVLANused.
4.AddtheportsintheVLANagain,andselectuntag.
5.SetcorrectIPaddressesforthedevices.
7.3.8AuthenticationTimedOutinCampusNetwork
Symptom
ThereweresixbuildingsinthestudentdormitoryofschoolA.Ifstudentswantedtoaccess
theInternet,theircomputersmustpasstheauthenticationandaccountingsystem.The
RadiusserversoftwareandBrashardwaredevicesoftheauthenticationandaccounting
systemwereprovidedbycompanyB.TheDOT1Xportauthenticationfunctionmustbe
enabledontheaccesslayerdeviceZXR105250anditworkswiththeauthenticationand
accountingsystemofcompanyBtoprovideauthenticationandaccountingservicesforthe
students.
CompanyBcompletedthedebuggingoftheRadiusserverandBrasdevicesand
allocatedtheauthenticationandaccountingclientstoeachbuildingforinstallation.Most
studentsregisteredandactivatedtheiraccounts.Afterthepreparationwascompleted,
ZTE’smaintenanceengineersenabledtheDOT1Xfunctionontheaccesslayerdevices
ofthesixbuildings,asrequiredbythecustomer.ThecongurationoftheZXR105250
wasasfollows:
