The backplate should be flush with the backplane. Be
sure that the NIC’s connector fingers are completely
seated in the slot.
7 Secure the NIC with the screw from the backplate.
8 Replace the PC cover and reconnect all cables,
including the network cable.
You must connect the NIC to the network before
installing the drivers.
Connecting to the Network
This section describes how to connect the 3C509B NICs
to the network using the RJ-45, BNC, and AUI ports on
the 3C509B NICs.
