Checking the NIC
If you experience problems with the NIC, try these tips:
Check the NIC LED as described in “Link LED” in
Chapter 2.
Check the connectors. Examine the cable for obvious
signs of damage, wear, or crimping.
Check whether the NIC is installed correctly. Refer to
Chapter 2, “Installing the 3C509B NIC.”
Make sure the drivers installed are correct for the
network operating system you are running (refer to
Chapter 3, “Installing the Network Drivers”).
