DECT radio unit with outdoor supply
The following principles are to be observed when installing DECT radio units on
outdoor premises:
• Choose a central position and avoid flat penetration angles
• Ensure the chosen location is protected from the weather
• Make sure the installation site is chosen sufficiently high to be protected from
acts of vandalism
[1] A flat penetration angle results in a greater attenuation (approx. 30 dB)
[2] A steeper penetration angle results in a smaller attenuation (approx. 20 dB)

Tip:
For outdoor supply always check the use of an external antenna
(together with an SB-8ANT) or the use of a DECT Repeater. This may result
in an optimum and therefore a more cost-effective solution.
