Key
Description
The 53i has 6 programmable hard keys that are all programmable. The
following are the default functions for the programmable keys on the
53i IP phone:

SAVE
Allows you to save numbers and/or
names to the Directory. Using this key,
you enter the number, name, and line
(or Speed Dial key) to record in the
Directory List.

DELETE
Allows you to delete entries from the
Directory List, Callers List, and Redial
List.

DIRECTORY
Displays up to 200 names and phone
numbers (stored in alphabetical order)

CALLERS LIST
Accesses the last 200 calls received.

TRANSFER
Transfers the active call to another
number
6
CONFERENCE
Begins a conference call with the
active call.
 Other functions can be assigned to the programmable hard
keys.
 There is a key card provided with the phone that provides
label identification for these keys.

Expansion
Module
If an M670i Expansion Module is attached to the phone, you can configure
36 additional keys. For more information, see M670i Expansion Module.

Feature
Description
Commonly used features:
Hold
Handles held calls.
Do Not Disturb
Places the phone in the Do Not Disturb state. Incoming calls go
directly to your pre-defined call forward/busy destination, usually your
voicemail.
Transfer
Transfers a call to another party.
