Remarks on the display name of the called party:
With the R4.2, when an outgoing call is initiated, the subscriber can see only the number dialed on
his display. The display named of the called party on 5xi is nevertheless possible in the following
case: if the company directory contains less than 200 names, the subscriber can enter in its
personal directory all contacts of the installation and, during an outgoing call, the name of the
called party is displayed on the display of the set.
Remarks on multi-lines function:
When the 5xi sets are in communication, no beep indication of incoming call is issued to indicate to
the subscriber that he received a second call. The workaround is to create 2 lines with for each line
a different phone number and to program a forward on busy of line 1 on line 2. So when the line 1
is in communication, if a second call comes on this line, it is transferred on line 2. A led flashes on
the set and the subscriber can see on the screen the name and number of the caller who is waiting
on line 2, even before to go off hook. Moreover, this can also make a transfer and / or a
conference. Warning: the establishment of this function requires 2 IP licenses.
