4.8.4.7 To set the handset audio profile
This operation is used to adapt the audio characteristics (transmission/reception) of a set handset
according to the system and line type.
The available audio profiles are preset and fixed; the TX and RX gains of the handset are set in 3
dB steps with 9 options. This means that the set handset has 9 different audio profiles numbered
from 0 to 8. The default audio profile on delivery is 0.
PROCEDURE
After power-up:
• Wait for the set to display its idle screen,
• Within 5s, enter PROG 98,
• Via the keypad, enter a digit from 0 to 8,
• You will hear 2 confirmation beeps.
The set retrieves the idle screen.
The audio profiles with their RX (reception) and TX (transmission) correspondence are as follows:
As of R1.3:
• if the value of configuration data item DCF442 (value ranging from 0 to 8) is different from 0, the
audio profile will be determined from this value and not from the one stored by the set.
• if DCF442=0, the audio profile is determined by the value stored by the set.
4.8.4.8 Other programmable functions
There is also the possibility, on request, of having the following functions on programmable keys:

• Store/Redial (previously on a fixed key), with display of a completed store.
These functions can also be programmed on one of the free programmable keys by external
