1. Go to “Tools/Options…” and activate “Show generic device configuration views” and instantiate a
given type of Safety I/O module (AI581-S, DI581-S or DX581-S) in the PS501 Control Builder Plus
V2.2.1 (or newer) / Automation Builder 1.0 (or newer) tree (DX581-S is used as an example):
