18.0 Connect ACTWin to more than one Controller
Option1: Auto discovery
From ACTWin select Autodiscovery option (Database-> Auto Discovery),
Press Discover button which searches the LAN for any ACTpro 1500 and ACTpro 4000
controllers, this may take several minutes.
The Autodiscovery process will return a list of controllers with the controller address,
NETBios name, controller type, IP address, MAC address and if DHCP is enabled.
Each controller must have a unique controller address, to change the controller address
right click on the controller the select “Set Controller number”, enter a unique number
between 1 and 250.
Note: To change the IP address right click on the controller and select “Set IP address”
and to disable DHCP right click on the controller and select DHCP and Disable.
Option2: Manually change controller address.
Access each controller using the web browser, login as installer and select
communications from the menu. Change the controller address to the desired address and
press save. The address must be unique and between 1 and 250.
From ACTWin manually add the new controllers including doors.
