5. Turn on the ultrasonic power supply using the ‘Turn US On’ button for 5 – 10 seconds to remove any deposits
from the sample chamber. Turn off the ultrasonic power supply and close the menu to continue.

6. From the ‘System Test’ menu close the flow valve (see Step 3) to isolate a sample in the chamber.
7. Prior to measurement the sample within the chamber must be homogenized. From the Oil Type
Configuration Menu select the Oil Calibration tab and press the ‘Turn US On’ button as shown in Figure 78:.
After 5 seconds press the ‘Turn US Off’ button to turn the ultrasonic power supply off.
8. Allow the sample to settle for 5 seconds then record the measurement reading.
9. Multiply this reading by the Average Difference
(see example results below)
value obtained during the
sampling procedure. Record this value.
10. Adjust the Gain using the Gain Control under the Oil Calibration Settings Tab of the main menu until the ppm
reading equals the value obtained in step 10.
11. De-select the Enable Measuring checkbox box in the Measure When Stopped group under the Oil Calibration
Tab of the main menu.
12. Select Save Changes & Logout Button to save.
13. Start the analyzer cycle using Start on main menu.
