4.2.1.3 – Offset and Integration Time Adjustment
Measurement readings inconsistent with laboratory results may be the result of variations in analyzer hardware.
Adjusting the offset and/or integration time will calibrate the hardware and correlate the measurement readings to the
laboratory results. This is a 2 step process which requires both the measurement readings (i.e. PPM values) from the
analyser and the results from the laboratory for graphic comparison.
4.2.1.3.1 – Setting the Offset
If the measurement readings and laboratory results are higher, or lower, by a consistent value as depicted in Figure 79
below then an adjustment to the offset may be required. All adjustments to the offset shall be done by Advanced
Sensors trained and authorised personnel only. If an adjustment to the offset is required please contact Advanced
Sensors for assistance.

INFORMATION: Adjustments made to the offset not performed by an Advanced Sensors authorized
representative may result in misrepresented results.
4.2.1.3.2 – Setting the Gain
Adjustments to the gain allow an increase, or decrease, in the averaging time of a signal. When the measurement
readings and the laboratory results deviate as shown below in Figure 80 then an adjustment to the gain should be
applied.
