3.2.3.1.1.3 – Custom Logs
By default the system logs are generated which registers all activity on the system and automatically saves information
as comma separated value file (.csv file) on the hard drive. In addition to this log file, users can also select customized
log files which contain only information of interest, Figure 47 below. Custom log files are disabled by default as they
require additional disk space therefore must be specifically enabled by users. Users must select the ‘Enable Custom Log
Files’ box to enable this feature. Then the user can select to record the configuration data at the start of the file and
choose data options of interest. Custom logs can be saved as 1 file, saved at midnight, or 2 files, saved at midnight and
noon, each day as the user requires. This allows users to open data log files in third party programs that may have a
limit on the number of lines they can handle.

INFORMATION: The number of data options selected will determine the log file size.
