Function
SSID, NID: Tests a pager in the SSID and NID modes. The NID mode, in addition to the
SSID mode, is a roaming network for covering wider multiple areas. NID
consists of a network address and a short message vector as follows:

NOTE When ALPHANUMERIC is selected in the PAGER TYPE field and SSID, NID is selected in
the ROAMING MODE field, the maximum allowable range of the MESSAGE LENGTH field is
limited to 35.
The following menu is displayed for setting the SSID mode for a pager to be tested:
• LOCAL ID: Defines the local channel ID of a pager under test. The allowable range is 0 to 511.
• COVERAGE ZONE: Defines the coverage zone of a pager under test. The allowable range is 0 to 31.
• COUNTRY CODE: Defines the country code. The allowable range is 0 to 1023.
• SSID TMF: Defines the SSID traffic management flag. This value is automatically set when the
capcode 9address) is entered in the PAGER CODE data field. The allowable range is 0 to 15.
