point out possible injury to persons or damage
to machinery.
The following warning symbols are used:
General warning symbol

Warning - X-rays
The warnings are structured as follows:
SIGNAL WORD
Description of type and source of
danger
Possible consequences of ignoring the
safety warning here
• Measures to be taken to avoid any
possible danger.
The signal word differentiates between different
levels of danger:
– DANGER
High risk of danger of serious injury or death
– WARNING
Possible risk of danger of serious injury or
death
– CAUTION
Risk of danger of minor injuries
– NOTICE
Risk of serious damage
