use the same Stream Codec values for both streaming and recording. When the
Streaming Codec is shared, the following H.264 video encoding parameters are
shared:
• Frame Rate
• Video Geometry (width and height)
• Video Bit Rate
• All Advanced Settings
Audio Bit Rate is not shared, nor are any other parameters.
NOTE: For high resolution, high frame rate simultaneous streaming and recording, such
as dual 1080p60, this must be set to Use Stream Codec for Record.
Import Recording Settings
The top area of the Recording Profiles screen lets you recall and save groups of
settings to the currently selected Recording Profile. That profile is identified by
name in the Recording Profile parameter below.
NOTE: Ensure you have the correct Recording Profile selected before changing any
parameters. Parameter changes are immediately saved to the Recording Profile
with no Undo.
Recording Template
Recording Template has a drop-down menu listing common video formats. Each
has an associated collection of recording parameter settings that are generally
appropriate for that format. The formats include:
• 1080p High 20 Mb
• 1080p Low 5 Mb
• 720p High 10 Mb
• 720p Low 4 Mb
• 540p
• 360p
• 270p
• NTSC
• PAL
• VGA
You can use one of these presets as a starting point for building your specific
recording profile. To save those settings to the currently selected profile:
1. Select the Recording Template you want to change with the Recording
Template drop-down menu.
2. Select the desired template.
3. Click on the Recording Template Apply button.
4. Click OK in the dialog box.
NOTE: Two different Apply buttons exist that are located close to each other. Be sure to
use the correct button for your procedure. Using the wrong button will overwrite
the current profile.
