Recording from a CD
Press the CD button to select “CD” source input,
and load the MD disc and CD disc.
2 Press the MD REC !e1/ © button to engage the re-
cording standby mode.
“REC IP will appear on the FL display.
® When an MD that has already been recorded on is
used, recording will start from the next track number
after the last one recorded.
When an MD that has been recorded to its full ca-
pacity is loaded, “FULL” will appear on the FL display
and the recording mode will be cancelled.
In this case, carry out disc erasing (page 28).
3 Press the > button to start recording.
CD playback and MD recording will start simultaneously.
e Recording can be started from a specific track num-
ber by using the JOG dial or B® / > button to se-
lect a track number during the recording standby
mode.
® 10 key buttons can not be operated during recording.
4 Press the m button to stop recording.
The CD and MD will be stopped simultaneously, and
the MD recording mode will be cancelled. ;
Note:
¢ During recording, selection of another input source is not
possible.
© Recording of specific CD playback tracks is possible by
programming the tracks you want beforehand.

Press the TUNER button to select “TUNER” source
input, and select the preset CH that you want to
record with the 10 key buttons or JOG dial.
Press thé MD REC ® button to engage the record-
ing standby mode.
Press the > button to start recording.
Press the m button to stop recording.

Press the TAPE button to select the “TAPE” source
input, and insert the cassette tape.
Press the MD REC @ button to engage the record-
ing standby mode.
Press the > button to start recording.
Cassette deck playback and MD recording will start at
the same time.
Press the m button to stop cassette deck playback
and MD recording.
