M-SYNC starts recording on the MD simultaneously with re-
cording signal input .
When this feature is used when recording from an external
component, recording will be started when playback is started
on the external component.
1 Press the M-SYNC button, and then, while the “SYNC
REC” indicator is flashing, press the REC button to
engage the M-SYNC recording standby mode.
“SYNC REC ff will appear on the FL display.
2 Start playback of the external component.
Recording on the MD will automatically start when the
signal is input into the MD recorder.
Selecting the display modes
Note: :
e |fasilent section continues for 30 seconds during M-SYNC
recording, recording will be paused, a 3 second blank be-
tween tracks will be kept, and the remaining silent section
will be cut.

® If the level of the first section of the input signal is low, the
first part of the recorded sound may be missing.
The MD's FL display mode can be changed by pressing the MD DISPLAY button.

® Press the MD DISPLAY button while the playback track's
track number is displayed. Although the TITLE will be
displayed, continue to press the MD DISPLAY button.
Track title (8 letter display) .
When a track title has not been input, “NO NAME” will
appear.
Elapsed time display of track being played back.
Remaining time display of track being played back.
Press the MD DISPLAY button while the recorded track's
track number is displayed. Although “NO NAME” will be
displayed, continue to press the MD DISPLAY button.
