Repeat steps 3 and 4 to create a title.
Up to 7 letters can be displayed at the same time dur-
ing title creation. If more than 7 letters are input, letters
will be moved along in the order they are displayed.
6 Press the TITLE button to input the title.
After the complete input title is scrolled through, the
first 8 letters of the title will be displayed.
@ Tocancel the title mode at any time during operation,
press the CLEAR button.
Note:
® Titles can not be input on commercially sold pre-recorded
music discs.
When an MD that has titles input using this player is played
back on another company's player, or when an MD with
titles recorded on another company’s player is played back
on this unit, titles may not be displayed correctly.
Carry out the track title procedure before playback of the
track being assigned a title finishes.
If the song is short, use the JOG dial to select the track
number, and input the title during the stop mode.
Correcting titles
¢ When correcting disc titles, first set the MD to the stop
mode, then carry out the following procedure.
© When correcting track titles, select the number of the
track to be titled with the 10 key buttons or JOG dial,
then carry out the following procedure.
@ Erasing a title:
1 Press the TITLE button two times in a row.
“NAME ER?” will appear on the FL display.

2 Press the SET button.
“NAME ER?’ will appear and flash.
3 Pressing the TITLE button will display “ERASE!” and
the title will be erased.

_@ Correcting titles:
Press the TITLE button, then press the SET button.
The first two letters of the input title will appear on the
FL display.
Press the P> / PP button to move the cursor to the
letter to be corrected.
Select the new letter with the JOG dial.
To erase the letter, press the ERASE button.
Press the TITLE button to input the correction.
@ Adding title letters:

Press the TITLE button, then press the SET button.
The first two letters of the input title will appear on the
FL display.
Press the >> / P| button to move the cursor to the
letter to be added.
e Ex: When adding “D” between the “C” and “E” of title
“ABCE #1”, move the cursor to “E”.
Select the letter to be added (D) with the JOG dial.
Press the SET button to input the added letter.
Press the TITLE button.
