8.10 NPA Dialing

The North American Numbering Plan (NANP) is an integrated telephone numbering plan of 24 countries

and territories: the United States and its territories, Canada, Bermuda, and 16 of the Caribbean

countries.

For E.g.: If this is your phone number, 001-2127773456, then you can configure as NPA in the Dial out

Rules as a 001212+XXXXXXX where 001 is a Country code and the 212 as a Area code and X is a

number of digits to dial out. In this above case you have to dial only 7773456 from any of the NanoPBX

Extensions. Once you dial, it will compare the number of digits which is configured in the Dial out Rules

configured for NPA.

9. Appendix B: Phones configuration required for NanoPBX Interoperability

9.1 X-Lite Configurations

Right Click on X-Lite -> SIP Account Settings -> Select Property of SIP Account

=> Presence -> Refresh Interval -> 60 sec

=> Advanced -> Reregister every -> 60 sec

If you have difficulty establishing a connection with the NanoPBX, give STUN Server

=> Topology -> STUN Server -> Use Specified Server -> “STUN Server IP Address”

9.2 SNOM IP Phone Configuration

Identity X -> SIP -> Proposed Expiry: -> 60

Identity X -> SIP -> Subscription Expiry (s): -> 60

Advanced Settings -> SIP/RTP -> SIP Session Timer(s): -> 60

Advanced Settings -> QoS/Security -> Filter Packets from Registrar: -> Off

9.3 Linksys PAP2 ATA

Admin Login -> Advanced View -> Line1

NAT Mapping Enable: Yes
