Working in Menu Mode
OPERATE
MENU
When the keyswitch is in the MENU position, you
are able to view the system menus of the AD168
matrix switcher. These menus provide programming
for a limited set of features.
To view the menus:
• Connect a dedicated monitor to the Program
Monitor (PROG MON) output located on the
AD168 back panel.
OR
• Connect a camera input to the PROG MON
output on the AD168 back panel.
IMPORTANT! If the PROG MON is connected to a
video input and the MENU CALLUP option has not
been set, first call the corresponding video input to
the monitor, then turn the keyswitch to MENU.
After the MENU CALLUP option is set, the menus
automatically display on the selected monitor
whenever the keyswitch is turned to the MENU
position.
Once the menu is displayed, the appropriate
functions on the multi-function keys are used for
operating the menus.
Note: The menu functions are printed on the front of
the multi-function keys.

IMPORTANT! To store data in MENU mode, the
ENTER (Preset) key must be pressed to end the
sequence. System keyboards used prior to the
release of the AD2088 also allowed use of the ACK
key to store data. The ACK key does not function
as the save function in the MENU mode on the
AD2088 keyboard.
Exiting from the Menu System
The user can exit from any menu, or exit from the
menu system at any time.
