Changing the Current Time Setting
The Time setting changes the system current date
the using HH:MM:SS (hour: minute: second) in
24-hour format.
1. Move the cursor to the Time line.
2. Enter the 2-digit hour (HH) using 24-hour format
and press the Enter (Preset) key.
3. Enter the 2-digit minute (MM) and press the
Enter (Preset) key.
4. Enter the 2-digit second (SS) and press the
Enter (Preset) key.
5. When finished making changes, press Exit
(Patrn) to return to the previous menu.
Changing Port Settings
When Ports is selected from the System menu, the
following menu displays.
PORT - 01
BAUD - 1200
DATA BITS - 8
PARITY - NONE
STOP BITS - 1
PORT USE - KEYBOARD
PREVIOUS MENU
Use this menu to configure the baud rate, data bits,
parity, stop bits, and port use for each of the eight
RS-232 ports.
IMPORTANT! Once the selections for a port have
been made, do not change the settings unless the
connected devices are changed as well.
Selecting a Port to Configure
1. Move the cursor to the PORT line at the top of
the menu.
2. Use the numeric keypad to enter the port
number (1-8) you want to configure.
3. Press the Enter (Preset) key. The selected port’s
settings are displayed. The default port
parameters are shown above.
Once the port is selected, continue with changing
the relevant settings.
Changing the Baud Rate
1. Move the cursor to the BAUD setting.
2. Press the Enter (Preset) key to display the
available baud rates (300, 1200, 2400, 4800,
9600, 19.2K, or 38.4K).
3. When finished making changes, press Exit
(Patrn) to return to the previous menu.
Note: The baud setting may also be changed by
entering the number that corresponds to the desired
setting and pressing the Enter (Preset) key.
Number Baud Setting
1 300 bps
2 1200 bps
3 2400 bps
4 4800 bps
5 9600 bps
6 19.2K bps
7 38.4K bps
Changing the Data Bits Setting
1. Move the cursor to the Data Bits setting.
2. Press the Enter (Preset) key to change the
setting.
Note: You may also enter 7 or 8 using the
numeric keypad and press Enter (Preset) to
change the setting.
3. When finished making changes, press Exit
(Patrn) to return to the previous menu.
