IMPORTANT! If a pseudo number change is made
through menu programming, it is necessary to
upload the change to the PC running S³ in order for
the system and PC databases mirror each other.
To assign or change a Pseudo Camera Number:
1. Enter the appropriate REAL # on the numeric
keypad, and press either the PAGE UP (Iris
Close) or PAGE DOWN (Iris Open) key.
2. Enter the PSEUDO number (1-9999) to be
substituted for the real number.
3. Press the Enter (Preset) key to assign the
PSEUDO number.
4. Repeat steps 1 through 3 for each pseudo
camera number you want to assign.
5. When finished making changes, press Exit
(Patrn) to return to the previous menu.
Changing Camera Titles and Video Loss
Settings
When Titles is selected from the Cameras menu,
the following menu displays.

Use this menu to program a 2-line, 16-character title
for the selected camera. In addition, you can set the
video loss detection mode for the camera.
To change the camera title or video loss setting:
1. Move the cursor to the CAMERA number line.
2. Use the numeric keypad to enter the camera
number (real or pseudo), and press the Enter
(Preset) key. The cursor will move to the Title
field.
3. Change the camera title:
a. Move the cursor to the TITLE lines. Two
cursors display: the Title Cursor and the
Selection Cursor.
b. Press the Next key to move the Title Cursor
until the correct character in the title is
highlighted.
Note: You must start from the first character
in the title and move through the text until the
desired character position is selected. You
cannot backspace through the title.
c. Position the Selection Cursor by using the
arrow keys or joystick to highlight the letter,
number, or symbol to include in the title.
Press the ENTER (Preset) key to add the
selected character to the title.
d. Repeat steps 3b-3c to complete the title.
4. Change the camera video loss mode:
a. Place the cursor at the VIDEO LOSS line.
b. Press the ENTER (Preset) key to cycle
through the loss detection modes. The
following modes are available:
• OFF: Loss detection disabled.
• SYNC ONLY: Sync loss detection
enabled.
• VIDEO LOW: Sync and low picture
content video loss detection enabled.
• VIDEO MEDIUM: Sync and medium
picture content video loss detection
enabled.
• VIDEO HIGH: Sync and high picture
content video loss detection enabled.
5. When finished making changes, press Exit
(Patrn) to return to the previous menu.
