HOUSE FUSES
AND
CIRCUIT BREAKERS
Thismotorhome
uses a combination
of
fuses and circuit breakers
in
the
house12-volt
DC
and
l20-voltAC
systems to protect individual circuits.
The
fuses are electrical safety devices with a fusible strip
of
metalthatmelt
and
interrupts the_circuit when
the
cUIT~nt
exceeds
aparticular
amperage.
If
the circuitisovei:loaded,
it
will
blow
the
fuse and the-fuse must
be
replaced.
Check the circuit for
an
overload.
Remove
the overload
and
replace the fuse
-with the same type and amperage rating
..
. A circuit breaker is a switch that automatically int«rrupts
an
electric circuit
under
all
infrequent abnormal condition.
If
a
circuit
breaker is tripped,
look
for an overlQad
.on
the circuit, remove the overload, then reset the breaker .
. Some breakers are
reset
by
pushing
in
a button, others
by
turning the switch
OFF
then ON. Db not try to reset a breaker the second
timewithout
removing
the overload problem.
